What I liked

Staff made sure everyone used the handwash entering the clinical area.

Everything was explained clearly and staff were reassuring.

What could be improved

Parking! Three quarters of an hour to get into a parking area is disgraceful. I was already anxious about the appointment without the added problem of inadequate parking facilities.

Anything else?

Sort the parking problem !

I am sorry to hear that your visit to the hospital was somewhat spoiled by your experience of car parking on site. You will appreciate that the hospital site is enclosed by housing and protected green space and consequently the space available for parking cars is both limited and not expandable. The maximum number of cars that we can accommodate is very finite. The Trust acknowledges that in common with our neighbouring acute hospitals, during certain periods of the day particularly when visiting times coincide with outpatient clinic times, parking can be subject to significant waiting times.

I would also point out that the hospital is well served with public transport and our dedicated Arriva bus stop facility is within the hospital site and a short walk from all main areas of the hospital. A real time bus departure display is located at the main hospital entrance. In addition the pick up and set down facilities for taxis or patients being driven are located very close to all main clinical areas. Free of charge direct dial telephones are located near to main entrances for summoning taxis.
