"At 91, my mum was treated with care and dignity..."

About: Fairfield General Hospital

What I liked

My mum who is 91 was treated with care and dignity from the time she arrived in an ambulance at A&E, throughout the day while tests were performed and for all of the five days during which she was a patient. We should all be proud to have such a first class hospital with caring doctors and nurses on our doorstep - and we should care enough to ensure that these facilities remain here for our community.

Other friends have recently had the misfortune to be sent for treatment far away from Bury. Not only was their recovery impeded by the lack of support from friends and family who could not often make the arduous journey to see them, but the standards of care were not a patch on those at Fairfield. Long may it prosper.
