"absolutely tremendous"

About: Glenfield Hospital

What I liked

My 9 month old daughter has just been into hospital for a tetralogy of fallots repair. Unfortunately it did not quite go to plan and as a result she had to go onto ECMO and had a lengthy stay in PICU.

Please can I say how fantastic everyone was if she had not been at this hospital she probably would have not survived

From the surgeon, to the doctors and nurses on PICU and Ward 30, everyone was absolutely tremendous.

They were all so patient and understanding in what was an awful time for my husband and me.

Everyone was always so positive they never tired of answering our endless questions.

They provided us with accommodation on ward 30 so we could be close to Ella anyone who has a poorly child understands how important this is.

The care that Ella received was second to none. Some staff at this hospital travel up to 2 hours a day to work because they are committed to the work that they do.

I felt privileged and somewhat humbled to witness the doctors and nurses going about their daily work.

As Ella's condition gradually improved the staff were almost as pleased as we were that she was recovering.

My comments don’t even begin to express our gratitude we could never thank everyone enough for what they have done.

Thank you so much

What could be improved

nothing

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely comments about our PICU service and Ward 30 at the Glenfield.

We hope that Ella is much better, and would like to send her our best wishes
