"Staff who treat little ones and parents as people..."

About: Basildon University Hospital

What I liked

My 2yr old had to have blood taken something as a mum I was worried about, but I was also there by myself with my 1yr old daughter. As recently moved from havering this was only my second visit. We were taken into the room where my daughter in the pushchair was given a toy, and I was given clear instructions on how to hold my son. There was 2 nurses taking his blood they were delicate and treated him with great care, also in the room was a lady ( sorry didnt get title ) who kept him occupied. She was brilliant so energetic and kept his mind off, in fact what he didn't like was the plaster. I wish I could have them the next time I need blood taking.

Thanks again.
