I was a patient in Conservators ward, room DS5. Whilst I was there, I was not aware of the room being cleaned once, the floors were not washed and as far as I'm aware the toilet not touched or paper replaced, until I was forced to complain. I did not see any cleaning staff and my impression of the kitchen staff was appalling.
I feel that I was often forgotten, and I always had to ask for water which took along time to arrive.
There did not seem to be any management or coordination between the two groups. It was also a bit frightening to over hear one staff nurse tell another that Diabetic patients were being given the wrong food!
I could find no fault with the Doctors or the nursing staff, which were really excellent. I understand the hospital has a history of MRSA and I am rather glad I escaped. I think you have a lot to sort out.
