About: North Middlesex Hospital

What I liked

The doctor listened carefully to what I had to say and has followed through what they said they were going to do by keeping me informed. I had one consultation in January of this year. The doctor wrote to my GP's practice then reccommending a particular blood test and likely course of treatment. It is a shame that the GPs do not take the time to read letters that consultants have written. I will only be getting the results today because the practice only did the correct test a couple of weeks ago! It puts you in mind of Gammon's Law. I was fortunate enough to meet Dr Gammon. I have looked him up on the internet and how prescient were his thoughts. It is the law of diminishing returns. I would have no hesitation in reccommending the doctor I saw and the North Middlesex's rheumatology department to anybody.

What could be improved

Longer consultation time.

Anything else?

Very clean hospital although a lot of staff seemed disillusioned by the cutbacks that are coming their way.
