"My treatment at A&E in Darlington"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Went into A&E in a lot of pain on my breast plate, so much so that i couldnt sit in the seat cause the upward pressure was hurting.

Eventually they sent a trolley round and took me into a cubicle. A student doc came asked some questions and left. Then a nurse came put on a heart tracer for about 3 mins. That was taken off and she left.

Then a nurse came in and gave me a shot of morphine, which hurt like hell and i started shaking badly. She left me in the room on my own then the student doc came in about 5 mins later and told me i could go home!

I told them I lived alone, had no money to get home and that I had no-one that could pick me up. They just said you can go. Didn't sign anything for release, when i walked through the A&E docs reception no one even looked at me.

What hospital dopes up someone then kick them out to walk through busy streets of Darlington to get home? I didn't even know where i was going- luckily i did get home no thanks to them.
