My relative had been ill from the beginning of 2011.
Despite repeated visits to his GP, and four calls out for emergency treatment, his condition was undiagnosed and therefore untreated with the medication required. His condition was only revealed after his death as a rare, but documented, form of Leukaemia, one symptom being thickening of blood in arteries risking stroke. He suffered a stroke, was given medication for this only two days afterwards, and died the following day.
At first the hospital refused to divulge the primary cause of death, and did so only after the inquest had wrongly described the cause of death.
