"NECK FUSION"

I had an appointment with my own GP in Lincolnshire as I had a pain in my left arm, I knew it was a slipped disc as I had suffered the same injury 10 years ago.

My doctor referred me for an MRI Scan which I had in November 2011 by One Health Group, at this time the pain was bearable and would come and go. However, during the Christmas holidays it hit me really hard and it was a continuous pain, I couldn't even change the babies nappy.

In January I received a letter with an appointment date to see Dr Abhinay Kamat in Gainsborough, at this appointment he confirmed it was a slipped disc and told me he would perform surgery. Approx 2 weeks later I received my appointment letter to attend for surgery at Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. The week before surgery I attended the hospital for pre-assessment, then finally had surgery on 17 Feb, and returned home to my family the following day.

The care I received in hospital was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. But the best thing about the whole process was how quickly I was dealt with from having the MRI to having surgery.

All in all I am very pleased with the care I received and certainly hope that if I have any other problems I am referred to One Health Group, excellent service, thank you.
