I have issues with the receptionist which i will be addressing in writing.

Anything else?

I went into southmead to have my 2nd child at the end of feb 2012, i was seen very quickly by a fabulous midwife who picked up an issue that ultimately saved my childs life. I was rushed to theatre and still cannot believe how calm and professional every member of the team were despite the urgency of the situation- in fact we didnt realise till afterwards just have serious it was.

I was supported in recovery extremely well and transferred into a single room on the Mendip ward as it was close to NICU and my daughter needed to go there twice a day.

The staff on Mendip from Health Assistants to Consultants were brilliant i felt really well looked after. Even the food was pretty good!!

I will always be extremely grateful to the maternity staff for their quick actions.

I think it should also be mentioned that my community midwives and student midwife were fantastic with me after I was discharged and i am seriously impressed with the level of breastfeeding support i have received both from them and the Infant feeding specialist at southmead.

Dear Anonymous – I apologise that you had an issue with the receptionist and confirm that we will investigate and respond once we receive your letter.

Conversely I am very pleased that the complications you and your baby experienced were addressed so professionally by the Maternity Services Staff at all levels. Your kind and very positive comments have been shared with all the staff.
