"Follow advice up for results very poor"

Staff were extremely polite courteous and friendly.

What could be improved

Elmstead daycare centre

Discharge advise very poor. No follow up appointment made to discuss examination. Told to visit gp for results in a months time. Vague discussion at the time regarding findings which left me with many questions and anxiety and noone available to talk to. Needs to be automatic follow up appointments offered at the hospital to allow patient to fully discuss the findings. Now have a long wait and chasing my doctors to see IF the results reach them. I queried if they would inform me if histology results showed any problems and was told no i would need to ask my gp for them. I naively thought i would be informed if a problem discovered.

Rushed out following sedation.
