Gemma and Rob arrived with the ambulance at the promised time of noon on Monday to take my very frail, anxious husband from a nursing home in Ross-on-Wye to a new one in Longhope, Glos.
They sat with him in his room for a while, quietly explaining how they were going to take him carefully on the stretcher and reassuring him all the time. I was absolutely amazed at how smoothly the transfer was made - my husband was not afraid, as I thought he would be.
They kept him warm and comfortable on the journey. My husband's sister was also permitted to travel with us! Rob looked after us too and Gemma drove.
We couldn't thank Rob and Gemma enough and they said 'We like to treat all patients as if they are members of our own family". What a wonderful young lady and young man - they deserve the highest award possible for their care and compassion. A very grateful thank you both!
Please tell them that my husband loves his new 'home' and is doing really well.
"Amazing care from a wonderful ambulance crew"
