What I liked

Everyone that we met was friendly and supportive. We actually visited A and E twice on Sunday, and the EPU on Monday, so met lots of different people. The fact that everyone was so friendly and supportive reassured me greatly during what was a traumatic experience, our first miscarriage. I knew there was nothing that could be done, but just a friendly smile reassuring you that what was happening was 'normal' really helped to calm my nerves. They were also able to find us a private room to give us some space while we were waiting for a the doctor.

What could be improved

The waiting times were my only complaint. Although I completely understand why they exist, especially as our second visit to A and E was during a busy period.

Anything else?

Thank you to everyone for working so hard - wish i could buy you a bigger and newer department, you deserve it for all your hard work!

In respect of the waiting times issue, we are now actively working to ensure that patients are kept fully informed of their likely waiting times through improving our communication to them during their stay with us.

Nevertheless, we have of course passed on your comments to our A&E management team and staff involved in your care, who were delighted to receive them.
