"My experience of the Edward Myers Unit"

About: North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust / Addiction services

(as the patient),

1. Staff were professional and helpful and approachable.

2. Monitored in first 24hrs to see how much diazepam required for detox.

3. Regained appetite and stopped alcohol withdrawals.

4. Physical exercise in the gym aided recovery.

5. The food was excellent.

6. Staff deal with troublemakers appropriately.

7. The building and bedrooms were clean.

8. Nurses and doctors courteous.
