"very good....plenty of support.. clear on..."

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital

What I liked

fast appointment booked...good communication between myself and staff... good nursing team.. great theatre staff...smooth discharge...plenty of aftercare info given and further support if required

What could be improved

i was going through a miscarriage and in shocking pain.. i asked for pain relief three times and this was agreed by nurses, however i never received it.. when my partner went to the nursing station my pain relief was in a cup on the side with my name on it but no one ever brought it to me.. we gave up then!!.........i was given pain relief intravenously by theatre staff....the ward was very busy so that may be why my request was overlooked...

Anything else?

i was in hospital for an ERPC..... midway through my miscarriage...

nursing staff were very kind and informative..... and the whole team could really not be faulted.. i was in shocking pain though and the issue as above re pain relief was my only gripe...

theatre staff were absolutely fantastic!!!....my recovery nurse collected me from the ward and i was under her care after surgery....she was lovely.....thank you!!

my anaesthetist and her team were also great.. very understanding.. couldnt do enough to ensure my comfort and advised me through the whole process.........

overall.. my experience with the hospital was very good ... well, as good as it could be when going through such a difficult emotional time...
