What I liked

I recently visited Furness General to have my second child, I was booked in for an elective c-section and I could not have had a better experience. I was greeted by kind attentive staff who were positive and informative about what was going on. The midwives, doctors and anaesthetist were very helpful and explained everything clearly and reassured me. The theatre staff were welcoming, professional, friendly and really made me feel at ease at what can be a scary time. They were also very good with my partner in surgery and reassured and explained what was going on to him. Post operative care was excellent, and I really felt important as a patient. The midwives were very helpful and exceptionally caring and reassuring. I cannot recommend Furness General highly enough. Facilities were very good and clean.

What could be improved

The only thing I can think of that could be improved is the food, it wasnt terrible but it wasnt good

Anything else?

I would just like to thank the maternity and theatre staff for giving me a really positive experience and taking very good care of me and my child.

Thank you too for your feedback about improving food standards. We appreciate the importance of good nutrition in supporting the recovery process, healing and maintenance of health in our patients.
