What I liked

The smell of food and coffee in the new privately run Coffee Bar at main entrance.

What could be improved

Waiting time in blood testing dept was one and a half hours.This is a long time when you have been on a fasting blood test and the environment you are waiting in smells of a Costa Coffee house!

Also table and chairs from the Coffee bar obstructing the main walkway does not seem a good thing.

Thank you for taking the time to provide an account of your experience at St Albans City Hospital, and we're particularly pleased to hear your positive impressions of our new Front of House area! We will of course add your comments about its layout to our Site Manager.

As for the issue of the waiting time in the blood testing area, as I'm sure you can understand there are unfortunate occasions where there can be a degree of waiting as clinics can be unpredictably held up. However, we do hope that felt you were adequately informed of the waiting situation, as our patient communication is currently one of our top priorities.
