"A good experience of the Breast Unit"

About: Leeds General Infirmary / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

It is almost 12 years since I was treated for breast cancer and having moved to Leeds recently I registered as a new patient at the LGI breast unit.

The breast unit staff didn't have my notes but took time to ask me about my history, examined me and arranged for me to have a mammogram there and then.

As a new patient I felt really cared for by all the people I met. I was able to ask questions and was given very considered and useful answers and have an array of contact names and numbers if I have any further questions. A great personal experience and I look forward to my next visit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Patient Opinion. I was pleased to hear about your positive experience, and that the staff treated you with respect, asking you about your history and answering all of your questions carefully.

I will make sure that your compliments are passed on to the staff at the breast unit as well as the patient experience manager.
