i suffer pvd, and was referred to vasculor department within hull royal, a ballon angioplasty was carried out on one leg, and was told to wait the 3 month period before carrying out the second angioplasty on other leg and also for follow up for how the first angio had performed. Unfortunately within the 3 month waiting period i developed a lot of pain in both legs that had only occured since the angio. I therefore tried to ring to make a appointment to the vascular department under which was providing my treatment with appauling responce. The office numbers which i was given are virtually impossible to get hold of, when i did i was passed from pilar to post. After many calls and countless times of being told that i have to wait till march to be seen,(3 months later) was eventually given a appoinment. this happened on 2 occasion of having to try and get a appointment to be seen about the severe pain i was suffering. I am under their care for treatment, but once the angio was performed no care was given to my pain and situation at all. On the 2 occasion i had to return due to pain the doctors i found were very flipant about my pain and no conclusive tests were even carried out and no further treatment of any kind was offered or an explaintion as to why the above was not performed or offer. I was just told to come back on my 3 month check up appointment. When returning march for the follow up appointment i was told at reception that my appointment had been cancelled due to me being discharged, this was a follow up appoinment to assess how the first angio had performed and to arrange the second angio. They did not inform me that i was being discharged and did not inform me as to why. i had no chioce but to make a stand and tell the reception that was not leaving till i was seen, therefore waiting another 4/5 hours to be seen.On seeing the doctor, i was still not given an explaination as to why i was discharged and why treatment has not been offered before.
