"shocking!!!"

What could be improved

Attended a&e after my mother had a fall, she was conscious but confused and had a huge swelling to the back of the head. She walked into a&e got booked in and waited 2 hrs before she was triaged. My sister was with her and she was updating me, I got a txt saying mum hasn't gone in yet she's managed to sit down as no seats were available, she's drowsy and doesn't talk sense. I was myself recovering at home from an op the previous day so I couldn't be with them. I rang the department and told the nurse on duty about my mother. Her reply was shocking, we are very busy, its been a bad day, there are 200 people also waiting like my mother. I told her that my mother had a fall and has a head injury- possibly a sub dural haematoma, she has been sat in the waiting area for two hrs with my sister who is worried and in shock herself. I explained that to make a patient who has had a full impact fall to the head wait 2 hrs is dangerous, she could become unconscious. She needed neuro obs and a ct head. Disgraceful!!! As a nurse myself I am speechless!!!
