What I liked
I had a fantastic experience throughout my pregnancy and with my labour. I was incredibly impressed with the communication between everyone involved with my care and had total confidence in all the staff. I was 13 days overdue and went in for an induction. Unfortunately the hospital was incredibly busy however I didn't feel that my care was at all compromised as a result of this. At all times I was kept up to date and my husband and I were both made very comfortable while we waited. I was very lucky to see my community midwife for part of my labour and found this to be very reassuring as it was my first baby. All the midwives who looked after me were cheerful and professional.
When I left hospital I continued to feel supported and when I had to phone Broadlands for advice my calls were well received and I wasn't made to feel like a paranoid mother.
My husband and I would like to express our deepest thanks to all the staff at the hospital and the community midwives who also gave fantastic support in the few days after our son was born. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone and hope that I receive the same excellent standard of care if and when I have another child.
