What I liked

Having been a patient under the care of the Consultant and his staff in the past few months, I cannot praise them highly enough For their constant support and advice. There is always somebody available by phone to answer my questions, when extra help is needed.

Anything else?

It is important that high quality nursing staff are retained in the oncology department to uphold the current excellent service to patients. I am disappointed to hear about the planned cutbacks.

I feel it is also important that doctors and consultants have adequate facilities for appointments with their patients and families. Having the space for families to be present at appointments is enormously beneficial to the patient not only in emotional support but in practicalities when so many questions need to be asked and answered.
