"Great staff but still needs improvement and the..."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

What I liked

I liked that I could see there had been changes in maternity since my visit in 2009 when there were hardly any staff at all!

What could be improved

There are still a lot of improvements needed but overall the use of patients toilets by visitors needs to be stopped and also the Departure Lounge needs to be looked at as it is causing untold grief to patients waiting to be discharged.

Anything else?

I would not recommend any nhs hospital to be honest but the Queens is beyond improvement if it still has to cover the areas it does. It is too overcrowded staff are overworked which will undoubtedly cause problems!

My stay was very unpleasant which was the result of other patients attitude and behaviour.

Since the publicity in the press people seem to enter Queens ready for a 'row'. The staff who dealt with me during my stay were really lovely. I witnessed the abuse and disrespect they had to put up with and I can honestly say they took with as much dignity as they could, i personally could not put up with that on a daily basis!

Management and the government need to turn the nhs back around to what it used to be. The nhs of today is a complete failure. Even simple procedures have been stopped to 'save money'.
