When myself and other friends and family visit my Mother at Whipton Community Hospital we press the doorbell as staff ignore the bell.
This is a big problem for my mothers elderly and disabled partner's visits, as he travels from Heavitree and is left outside in the cold to wait for other visitors exiting the door and let him in.
When we are eventually let in by another visitor there are nurses in the office chatting and ignoring the door buzzer. This is not treating people with respect and dignity.
My Mother told me that she's afraid to ask for a cup of tea as staff are busy. She also feels uninformed about her care.
