What could be improved

I had not recieved my xray etc results on discharge and live in Australia. On recieving my file notes I was amazed to discover an abnormal ECG result indicating I had had an anterolateral MI sometime previously. Since I notified the hospital of all my other medical conditions surely if I had known about this I would have notified the hospital accordingly. Could the hospital explain how a patient was seen by 3 different consultants all of whom failed to notify the patient they had had a anteriolateral MI and what the consequences were for long prognosis as this could have impacted on the decisions I made regarding my care. Also according to my notes my O2 sat was onething - alot higher than it actually was. I am at a loss regarding this.

I am also still concerned that no one has adequately explained the lack of pastoral care - I do not mean clergy I mean qualified fully trained pastoral carers who visit people during their stay to discuss issues of importance thus relieving the nursing and social work staff from trying to provide support while running round trying the look after patients medically

Clearly we are unable to respond meaningfully to individual clinical issues via a public website, but would be pleased to investigate if the patient would like to contact us directly. The contact email address is pals@midyorks.nhs.uk
