I feel the signage at St Jame's University Hospital Leeds Emergency Department needs to be updated as it still displays Accident and Emergecy internally and externally.
I was under the impression this was an outdated term and all NHS Hospitals A&E departments was now to be know as Emergency Departments. In displaying the correct use of the urgent and critical care service the hospital provides may re-educate the general public in thinking twice about attending an "Emergency Department" with a stubbed toe.
The General Infirmary at Leeds displays Emergency Depatment on ALL external and internal signage and gives the impression that it is only for emergencys only and accidents attend St James Hospital. Please Leeds Teaching Hospitals Sort this out.
