"Parking at Wansbeck"

About: Dolgellau X-ray & Clinic Wansbeck Hospital

(as a relative),

With regard to parking charges at Wansbeck Hospital. Outpatients over estimate how much parking time they need as they never know how long they will have to wait to see a doctor. If they are done in ten minutes the tickets can't be handed to someone else as your registration number is stamped on the ticket. I think this system is designed to generate maximum profit without any consideration to fairness.

They could have erected barriers so that payment would be taken on leaving which would mean you paid for what you used and would be a much fairer system.

People who need to visit a hospital are not likely to be working and therefore ill afford to pay extortionate parking fees. So shame on everyone involved in the manufacture of this scheme.

Dear Locky,

Just to update you on the outcome of this. The Trust has made an important change and reached an agreement which will result in the termination of the management contract with Parking Eye on all Northumbria premises.

I hope this provides you with some assurance of our determination to listen and respond to the needs of our patients and the local people we serve.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

With all best wishes,

Annie
