I have visited the unit several times for screening. I appreciate the service. The radiographers were wonderful, kind, efficient and considerate. What I found very unpleasant was the way women are herded in twos and threes from the waiting area to the dressing room as though sheep or primary school children. I found this deeply distressing. I am an individual person with my own health problem. I do not want to be forced to share my experience with others no matter how "good for me" that may be considered to be. The other thing I found unpleasant was the pink walls, and pink carpeted decor of the waiting areas. Everything the colour of open wounds and exposed flesh - not comforting and quite frankly suffocating. Please can we be treated as individuals in an environment that looks and feels professional and not like a boudoir.
