"Nenedoc - Prospect House, Kettering"

About: Northamptonshire Teaching PCT

(as a relative),

Having been to our own GP on Wednesday I found it necessary to attend Nenedoc the local emergency GP service today with my daughter who was not responding to medication for an oral infection.

I rang the number and a dr returned my call just over the time I had been given and said that we would need to be seen. I was given a choice of location and time and chose the earlier time.

On arrival, 5mins before our appointment time we were told the waiting time was just over an hour, we had gone prepared so sat and waited, however we were not expecting to have to wait for 1hour 45mins. When we finally saw the doctor there was no apology for the wait and I felt leaving the consultation that it had been a complete waste of time, she was given tablets (but having problems swallowing anything but liquid) and to continue with pain relief as we were already doing - which wasn't effective.

However on going to the pharmacy we were offered an alternative form of pain relief - oral spray, which worked with the effect that she could now eat! So thankyou to the good service I had from the local pharmacy next door.
