"A wonderful example of how a community hospital..."

What I liked

I attended the drop-in centre for months re dressings for my leg ulcer from april 2011 onwards. I even watched the royal wedding in the waiting room -not all of it i hasten to add. The service I recieved was exemplorary in all respects, All staff were efficient and courteous. The nursing staff were kind, sympathetic and encouraging. This encouragement was very important as the problem was a chronic one that was obviously going to take some time to resolve. Later i was referred to the leg ulcer clinic where the level of service continued to be of the highest standard. Again all staff from the lovely nurse, to the clerical staff uphold the same high standards. Whilst i would have preferred to have been sunning myself on a carribean beach, I actually enjoyed my regular visits to your hospital. Early appointments meant i could enjoy a very reasonable breakfast in your canteen and get a coffee to take away from the snack bar for 1/5 of the cost of one from a shop in the high street. My on going medical care has been great. I will be back next month for a check up and it may seem odd to say, but I'm quite looking forward to it. Sorry I have written so much but i feel too often the ' satisfied customers' dont feed back. In my view, yours is truly a community hospital , and a community in itself. Many thanks. Ellen Young

What could be improved

I cant see any real room for improvement - maybe information in the waiting room of the drop-in dept that there is a lovely snack bar that does grt coffee, on the ground floor of the main hospital. However i can understand that it could wreck the system if patients were AWOL when their name was called.

Anything else?

Just thank-you.
