About: Lister Hospital

What I liked

I had my baby in Lister hospital in Jan 2012 and it was the worst experience of my life. Thankfully she was my second baby, because if she was my first, I would never have had another baby. When I first went to the hospital for my induction I was left for nearly two hours before anyone came to see me. The next morning I started to have contractions but I was constantly ignored by staff and denied any pain relief. I was never examined and had to go through the whole labour on just two paracetamol as the midwives never believed I was in labour right until I literally pushed my daughter out. I have warned everyone I know not to have their babies at Lister.

We're very sorry that this was your experience because it seems like so much went wrong from your point of view. Perhaps it would help to talk what happened through with our senior midwives - just email us on general enquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net and we can arrange this for you.
