"superb levels of knowledge and standard of care"

What I liked

the standard of care and support by all staff at all levels, in pre op,surgery,post theatre,hdu and the ward. i was treated with dignity and compassion. all procedures were explained with risks and benefits.

since leaving the hospital last week i have been reassured to know that they and their ongoing support is only a phone call away.

What could be improved

feedback forms freely available on the wards so i could have filled them in and congratulated them on their 5star treatment

My nurse was the most accomplished professionals i have ever seen. She nurses by establishing immediate rapport with the patient. i watched her instill calm confidence in each of the patients who talked to her. if she said you'd be fine, then you believed her; if she said she would do something or check something then it was done. she was respected by colleagues and patients.

The staff on hdu were wonderful, the nurses and doctors who were constantly available and able to comfort,support and restore the patients in their care and the ever patient physios.
