What I liked
I was seen in the Cardiology Rapid Access Clinic on 3rd February 2012 within 24 hours of my GP making this request. The clinic had an emergency earlier but kept those waiting fully informed with regular updates on clinic delays. This information was passed kindly and with consideration by the reception staff and the male nurse on duty that day. I also had an ecg and chest x-ray before being seen by the nurse. He was very diligent in my diagnosis, asked many questions, conducting a thorough examination, because I already suffer with Myasthenia Gravis. As the diagnosis then related to a severe heart murmur, I also waited to see a doctor. The doctor was equally attentive and concluded that extra tests would be needed to establish the next course of action.
This front line cardiology clinic is first class support to the patient and look forward to receiving further ttreatment very shortly.
