"Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis at Kettering General Hospital"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Diabetic medicine

(as the patient),

Made appointment around 3 months ago to see duty GP at Rothwell Health Centre ( Northamptonshire, Nr Kettering), as always reception staff were v helpful and courteous and prompt appointment was made available. My symptoms were tiredness, increased thirst and I knew I was a little over weight which doesn't help anyone.

Following blood test and subsequent H test confirmed the onset off Type 2 Diabetes with mml of 83.

This story is prompted by the first class support I have received from the whole care team from the reasuring advise from my specialist nurse who in three short months has arranged a retinal eye scan, full day ask Desmond coming to terms with Diabetes awareness day ( V helpfull indeed ) , foot check at the Pediatrist and eased me onto my required medication . I've just received the results of my latest H test and am delighted at the way things are going. What seemed like a disaster three months ago now seems a minor inconveinance and the bonus is I feel better than I have for a long time, losing a few pounds in weight has certainly helped.

All this is possible thanks to the first rate service received from the Rothwell team to whom I am extremely grateful and of course my totally supportive family.
