"Community Intensive Home Treatment for mental health"

About: NHS Lothian

(as the patient),

I was really impressed by the service I got from this team and very grateful that this service exists instead of having to be admitted to hospital.

The team were very caring and I didn't feel like they were judging me in any way - I have felt this way in other mental health services and it was a great relief to find they supported me and were led by my needs and what I said rather than just pushing their own views on to me.

It was also very useful that they obviously read my notes regularly and I didn't have to repeat myself to every team member. Knowing that I could contact the team any time and that they would know about my issues was very reassuring.

I have felt very well supported and am very glad that this service exists.
