What I liked

I visited A&E with chest pains and was well looked after. I was there for 4 hours and although at the time it felt that there was a lot of waiting about, in that time I had an ECG, x ray and blood tests and left with a diagnosis and clear explanation. The department was extremely busy but the staff I saw were good humoured and helpful. Visiting A&E used to be a horrendous experience - I was there a year ago and made a complaint. But I have only praise on this occasion. They've really upped their game.

What could be improved

Different seats in the waiting room - they are hard and cold to sit on

Thank you for your comments about the service you received from the A&E and diagnostic teams. We are aware of the problem you found with the chairs and plan to refurbish this part of the waiting area later this year.
