"Disgusting treatment"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

What could be improved

i attended the A/E with my daughter on 26th December at 10.15am who was suffering a gall bladder attack with sever pain and vomiting. After signing in to A/E and waiting about half an hour we were sent down to the Primary Care and waited to see a doctor who eventually came and gave her an injection to try to control the vomitting which didnt work. He took us back to A/E and said that she needed to be kept under observation and seen by a doctor in A/E who could prescribe pain relief. We were kept in a side roon until 2.15pm until a doctoe eventually arrived and prescribed morphine. By this time she was almost unconsious with pain and we eventually left the hospital about 5.00pm and she was told to see her doctor for an appointment as an outpatient. I think it is totally unacceptable for someone in severe pain to have to wait 4 hours for medication. My dog gets better treatment from the vet !!
