"not good"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

What could be improved

Waiting time for an x-ray is too long. Should bring back the old appointment system. 2 hours is far too long to have to wait.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. We welcome all feedback and would like to assure you that all comments are taken seriously and acted upon as part of our ongoing commitment to improving patient experience.

We apologise for your wait in the x-ray department.

The majority of our patients use the drop-in service and GP Practices have been advised of the best times for patients to attend. We are however currently reviewing how this is delivered and aim to improve the drop-in service.

The department can get extremely busy at times and we are currently working with outpatient clinics and GPs to improve the efficiency of this area. We are in the process of reviewing workflow and scheduling to help improve the department.

If you would like to discuss any of these matters further, please contact PALS by phone 0121 371 3280, by email PALS@uhb.nhs.uk , via the hospital website http://www.uhb.nhs.uk/pals-form.htm or in person by dropping in between 10-4pm (Mon-Fri) to the PALS office located to the left of the Information Desk in the main entrance of the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Thank you again for taking the trouble to post your comments on the NHS Choices website.
