"Wrong diagnosis given"

About: The Maidstone Hospital

What could be improved

I visited the Urology department during October 2011 to get the results after a biopsy,(I was kept waiting for over 1 hour with no explanation from the staff on duty at the time) I was informed by a Consultant the results were benign, all clear and not to worry,to go home and celebrate, the consultant at the time seemed stressed and under pressure and did not have all of my notes to hand, however on a later referral during early November 2011 to a specialist hospital in London,I was informed that all was not clear and that the results were in fact malignant.

I have since been treated at the London hospital, however I am disgusted and disappointed at the treatment received from Maidstone hospital.

Anything else?

How can one hospital get it right (London) and Maidstone hospital get it so wrong?
