What I liked
Speed I was seen...and leaving the hospital
What could be improved
The attitude of the female gyno who saw me..she.told me that I should not have been referred to her by my GP the moment she walked through the door into the room I was lying in. I had just suffered 7 days of hemorrhage and was extremely weak and all I wanted was someone to stop the massive bleeding and find out why it was happening. Didn't even take my blood pressure. She did not listen to a word I said nor let me explain what had happened. She was arrogant, dismissive of my condition and quite insulting. At the end of the session, she just brushed the whole matter aside and told me if I couldn't cope with the bleeding then I should go to A & E. I just couldn't get out of the place quick enough. If I was going to die from lack of blood, I would do it at home. Perhaps I should have collapsed and died there just to prove a point..but I doubt if even that would have got any sympathy from her.
Anything else?
My one and only visit to hospital for treatment...my family has been told that if I am ever ill again, to take me out of Cumbria so I can be treated elsewhere. The only useful thing I got out of the place was some large pads to soak up the bleeding on my way home...I think the poor nurse there felt sorry and embarrassed for me by my treatment.
