What I liked

my mother came to the department on 16 1 12 with chest pain - which eventually was ruled out as cardiac pain. the nursing staff were exceptionally professional and helpful and as my mother has mild dementia were extremely patient with her. the doctor we saw was also professional and kept us well informed throughout. my mother had to be moved to ward 7 for an overnight stay and unfortunately we had a long wait for the bed to be available. again even though the area was busy with patients requiring more urgent care we were kept informed throughout the wait and my mother reassured.
