About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

What I liked

Nothing

Our daughter collapsed with an epileptic seizure. Her friends called for an ambulance and as the crew picked her up from waht was obviously a party it was assumed, due to the nature of her seizures, that she was the usual Friday Night drunk. She was taken to A&E at QEQM and left on a trolley from 2130 hours until a doctor came a saw her at 0130 hrs. Even then he put her on a saline drip to flush outher system when she hadn't even been drinking. No ob's where taken at any time and the nurse in charge just ignored her and us from the time our daughter arrived. If she has another seizure whilst at friends in Margate i will insist she be brought to Kent & Canterbury.

What could be improved

The whole attitude of the ambulance crews and department staff. They are supposed to be inh the caring profession but all they did was neglect our daughter based on the fact they thought she was the usual friday night drunk.
