"The care my Aunt received at Musgrove Park Hospital"

My aunt, a very dignified lady and a retired nurse, was admitted to Musgrove. She became very ill and was transferred to ITU where she received excellent care and support and after 10 days she was transferred to a ward.

After just 18 hours on the ward, she was in a shocking state. She had deteriorated rapidly but the staff were not aware, as they did not seem to be carrying out observations. She had the same nightdress on, which was covered in food as she had been trying to eat with her fingers because the staff did not seem to be helping her to eat.

I have never seen such fright on my Aunt's face and such disgusting care. If i had not visited on that particular day, my Aunt would have died in a shocking state. I did visit and I shouted and demanded, and then the medics began to do their job and my Aunt was transferred to another ward.

But by this time she was extremely ill, and absolutely terrified of being left alone, due to the lack of care she received on the previous ward. I will never ever forget the state i found my aunt in and the trauma she had to go through. This case is still being pursued.
