"My mother's care in Gateshead A&E"

My mother was taken to A & E after a fall, she was treated with care at 1st then as she was in shock and dazed, the attitude of staff changed. They were talking down to her and treating her as if she had dementia or Alzheimer's- she has neither of these, she was just shocked and sore. They kept her in for observation. This entailed sleeping in a corridor on a trolly by an open window, with no tea or water and not seeing anyone till the morning, when she was moved into a room with the window open again - in January! She was disgusted by her treatment and the food was revolting. She promptly discharged herself and recovering well at home in warmth and with care and tea!
