"Avenue Medical Practice and Northern General Hospital in Sheffield generally good"

My experience of treatment at the Northern General Hospital (Sheffield) is generally very favourable, my only complaint is that the consultant I saw for my stomach/bowel problem really frightened me (and my wife) by referring to my condition as possibly cancer. This was before I had any tests (other than ultra sound). I was very upset, and my health deteriorated rapidly, I lost half a stone in weight, was very depressed and uncommunicative. It was only after having a stomach/bowel camera test (which was negative) that I improved.

I feel I was unnecessarily upset. I appreciate that consultants are much more open with opinions, this should however in my view be tempered to the information they have to hand and not prejudged.

Avenue Medical Practice in Sheffield - Generally offer a good service, my only complaint is that if you need to see a specific doctor, you have to wait for a week before an appointment will be given.
