"Poor care for elderly and disabled"

What could be improved

An elderly relative has been an inpatient in Princess Royal Hospital recently and is virtually unable to do anything for herself. Having spent 4 days in bed was then given laxatives and when requested help with toileting had to wait on two separate occasions (2 different days) at least 10 minutes for anyone to help her. She was desperate and luckily managed to "hold on". The nurses had been asked for assistance at least twice and kept saying "in a minute" but did not seem at all bothered or attempt to hurry to help this lady.

Enough said.
