What I liked

Some of the nurses on SAU were excellent , especially one and a sister on nights who;s name I didn't catch.

The Junior Doctors I encountered were very good.

The theatre porters were excellent.

The people that serve the food and drinks were very nice.

The three wards that I stayed on were very clean.

What could be improved

The two nurses on the SAU unit were bone idle , on one occasion the patient in the bed opposite mine pushed his emergency button , it took 15 mins for one of these nurses to respond,they then moaned because the patient had relived himself in bed ( incident happened early hours of morning SAU unit.

On another ocassion , a nurse sat playing card games on their computor while another nurse did all the work , this was on the overflow ward for Buckland.

It might be usefull if some of the Doctors bothered to read their patient notes.

Anything else?

I would recommend that you get the excellent nurse mentioned above to train staff in the correct way to treat patients.
