Just before Christmas I was not at all well with a chest infection. I rang the surgery and was given an appointment to see a GP the same day. I saw Dr Alan and she gave me antibiotics and an inhaler.
That night I could not sleep and had trouble breathing and felt very, very unwell. The following morning feeling even worse struggling to breath, coughing and wheezing.
I rang the surgery again and was given an appointment this this time to see Dr Jamison a few hours later. Dr Jamison examined me and gave me another lot of antibiotics and steroids and advised if I felt worse to call an ambulance. I was advised to have complete rest. The following day I was seen again by Dr Alan.
I suffer regularly with chest infections but never had one where I felt so very, very ill and was struggling to breathe. I have nothing but praise for Dr Alan and Dr Jamison who looked after me. I am still not not completely fit as I still feel very tired but, if it had not been for their care I could have ended up in hospital which is the last thing I wanted at Christmas or any other time.
