"Sympathetic understanding of a frightened patient."

About: Wexham Park Hospital

What I liked

I checked in for a knee replacement operation at Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot. I then had a type of panic attack and decided after consultation with the surgeon to postpone the operation. I expected the staff to be angry and accuse me of wasting their time. Quite the contrary. The surgeon, anaesthetist and nursing staff were so considerate and professional. It was not my finest hour and I wish my behaviour could have been as dignified as that of the staff. I now, having pulled myself together, wish to apply for re-entry into the procedure. I hope they will have me back - the prodigal's return!

What could be improved

My own behaviour

Anything else?

Non - except to say that frequently underused word - 'sorry'.
