"Absolute worst medical care I have ever..."

About: King George Hospital

What I liked

Absolutely nothing.

What could be improved

1) Hygiene was a joke. The bathroom flooded into the waiting area. No one addressed this for 15 minutes. When it was addressed, the staff bickered among themselves as the waiting room continued to flood with dirty toilet water until half of the waiting area was covered. Disgusting.

2) Patient Privacy/Respect was non-existent. When checking in, I had to explain my symptoms (which were private and embarrassing) with absolutely no privacy. Other patients were queued inches behind me. Another queue was immediately to my right. Further, I was asked to give a urine sample but there was no place to drop off the urine. Thank goodness the bathroom was flooded and I couldn't use it--otherwise I would have been sitting in the waiting area holding a clear plastic cup of my own wee.

3) The exam room looked like a public toilet. The windows were open. The paper that covers the exam table was left on the floor which looked like it hadn't seen a mop in a good 15 years.

4) The extent of my doctor's exam was to take my temperature and confirm that I had a fever. He then prescribed antibiotics for a viral infection. I had to explain why that would not help me. I had to ask him to actually look at the problem before he would do a proper exam.

Anything else?

If I were in labor, I would rather give birth in the parking lot than go back into that hospital.
